TVU networks and USSecurenet Partner to Offer Anytime, Anywhere Live Video Transmission Capabilities

Global and secure BGAN satellite service from satcom market leader is now a fully supported video delivery option on TVU networks' TVUPack

Mountain View, CA – April 11, 2011 – TVU networks, a leading provider of Internet based live broadcast video technology solutions, today announced that the company has joined with USSecurenet to begin offering an integrated satellite communications and live video transmission solution for TVUPackTM, its portable, light weight data broadcasting pack for capturing breaking news in SD or HD. Beginning today, TVU networks will offer custom packages that combine TVUPack with USSecurenet satcom service.

Used by news stations and free lance journalists around the world, TVUPack enables news crews to report live on breaking news from virtually anywhere, including locations that traditional broadcast vans are unable to reach. By supporting an array of on-board wireless devices such as BGAN, 3G, 4G, and Wi-Fi, users can capture video in the field and immediately transmit it in broadcast quality SD or HD back to a central newsroom for immediate channel viewing or editing for future broadcast. Bundled with USSecurenet's Inmarsat BGAN streaming service, TVUPack's unique and proprietary signal aggregation technology will help news crews stream live video feed with the best picture quality available in places with weak or no cellular signal strength. USSecurenet uses the rugged, light weight Hughes 9201 BGAN satellite terminal to provide reliable bandwidth in any terrain.
